About us

For years now, Allison and Keavy have been hiding behind websites, renting makeshift kitchens, hoarding boxes and bags in their living rooms, lugging tents around in zipcars, and making deliveries by subway.  

In mid-July, Keavy asked Allison to meet her at an undisclosed location in Bedstuy for a top secret meeting. “NO MORE!”, Allison cried as she crouched over a pitcher of sangria. “There must be a better way!”, Keavy exclaimed while stuffing her face with aioli and fries. By the time we had reached the end of our second pitcher we had come up with a fool proof plan to make our lives and businesses better: create a place where we can sell our signature items, along with the desserts of our wildest dreams, and craft cocktails that will make folks feel as good as we did right then.  

On October 17th, after many many months of sober planning the word is out: Allison Kave of First Prize Pies and Keavy of Kumquat Cupcakery will be opening Brooklyn’s first craft cocktail and dessert bar in 2013!!!  Because we know that humility is dead and privacy is a thing of the past, we are going to use this platform as a way to let you watch us on every step of our journey, as we figure out how two people go about creating a dessert haven in this crazy food world we call Brooklyn.

We hope we can dazzle you with pretty pictures, entertain you with our trials, and at the end of it all FEED YOU.
